PRESENT STATUS OF NEPALI MUSIC

Today’s in the market of Nepali musical field, new artists, albums, and music companies are mushrooming in different parts of the country, especially from eastern and western parts of Nepal. They want to do competition with other new and old Nepali artists and also other artists who are involved in Nepali musical field. To develop and growth of Nepali music Image F.M. has also became a strong F.M. station for Nepali music.Image award is an annual award,which held in every year.It is supported by Image group of companies.It was started with inception of Image F.M. in 2055 B.S.(1999 A.D.). The first award was handed to late TARA DEVI as the lifetime achievement award, and other artist are also nominated at that celebration. This award celebration was national glory has helped honor and encourage both new and old talents of the music industries of Nepal. ANNUAL HITS F.M. MUSIC AWARD

MODERN HISTORY OF NEPALI MUSIC

The modern history of Nepali music is very short period.At time when big and private companies were mushrooming the western cities,like Kathmandu got its first radio,radio Nepal is the first music composer of Nepal to uprising musical industries,it was established in 1952.Since then Radio Nepal has expanded to become the dominant Radio station all over the country like Nepal,which helped to lift up Nepali music and introduced to public who loved Nepali music.The persons who are the source of inspiration of musical field,are contributing in Nepali musical field,they had completely changed modern history in musical field.We can remember our respected musical legends like Narayan gopal,Shiva shankar,Nati kaji,Arun thapa,Dharma raj thapa,Jhalak man gandarva,and the female arena are Koili devi mathema,Tara devi,Aruna lama are the ancestors and a source of inspiration of Nepali musical field.Like those musical ancestor through Radio Nepal,they had contributed from their own sector to raise up Nepali musical field in the country.We can remember them like our source of inspiration.
